Purpose of this blog

For long has the oldest of earth's religion taken attacks of mockery of various kinds. This blog is an effort to change the mindset that people are gradually developing towards the Hindu religion.

What this blog aims at doing

Like all religions, the Hindu religion deserves respect too.

Like all religions, the Hindu religion deserves respect as well and this is something everyone should try and understand. We Hindus have been one of the most religiously tolerant people in the world since the ancient times. And this nothing bad at all. We have been the pioneers in religious tolerance and this is something to be very proud about. This is why India has been the birthplace to religions like Buddhism, Jainism and more. But what has the Hindu community received in return? Despise, contempt and mockery. From whom? The global community? Maybe. But before that, the Hindu religion is mocked by a lot of people belonging to the religion itself. We need to change that. We need to change the outlook that people have towards their own religion. Unless we respect ourselves, how can we expect others to respect us?

Preserve the legacy our forefathers have left for us.

A mixed package has been left for us by our forefathers. I think we are rational enough to see the good in the 'package'. I think we should keep the good with ourselves and let go of the bad. Not just show contempt and leave religion behind. In this way, Hinduism would evolve to be better by each passing generation. We need to preserve the oldest surviving religion in the world in the right spirit.

What this blog does NOT aim at doing

Disrespecting other religions, beliefs or communities
Respecting our religion does not mean disrespecting other religions. And this is not what this blog is aimed at. This blog just want to make people aware that Hinduism is very much respectable like any other religion. I will try my best not to make references to any other community so that there is minimal possibility that my words hurt someone.

Promote violence of any kind

This blog does not aim at promoting violence of any sort. In fact, I condemn promotion of violence an any grounds. I am an Indian and this nation has given birth to Mahatma Gandhi. I do not think that I need to speak any further. And for those of you who misinterpret intentions as a hobby, I request you not to read my blog posts as these aren't meant for you.
